TRAVEL AGENCIES

These domestic travel agencies are based in Cebu and will be useful if, like many other visitors to the Philippines, you plan to use Cebu as your base to explore remoter areas of the country.

It should be noted that quite a few of the dive shops serve as travel agencies if their customers wish to go diving at dive sites outside of Cebu; they'll arrange the transportation and accommodation, go diving with you at the destination, and bring you back to Cebu. The Moalboal-based Action Adventure also arrange outdoor adventure excursions to neighboring Negros.

Of the agencies listed below, only Nautica have an ad in the Yellow Pages billing themselves as specialists for domestic tours within the Philippines. One of the travel agencies I've tried is Adventure, in the Ayala Center; they were astonishingly helpful and friendly. Now, if you'd prefer to walk into a travel agency rather than call one, a good place to go is Ramos Street; for some reason a lot of travel agencies have their offices here. The Diplomat Hotel in particular is home to a whole bunch.
